Deltic reports strong trading performance over Halloween period

The Deltic Group, the UK’s largest operator of premium late night bars and clubs, today provides an update on trading from the commencement of the majority of Freshers weeks on 17 September 2017 to Halloween on 31 October 2017, reflecting the fundamental strength of the business and providing a strong platform for further growth.

 

Very strong trading in key period of Deltic’s financial year:

  • Total sales for the period up 9.1% to £16.4m on a like for like basis
  • Positive trading for the period with total admissions up 6.4% to 1.3m people on a like for like basis
  • Early week sales up 12.4% and Friday and Saturday sales up 7.5% on a total company, year on year basis
  • Record Halloween Saturday, admissions up 2.3% to 90,598 on already impressive performance last year

“This strong trading period, including a record Halloween weekend and very strong Halloween Tuesday, follows a period of significant investment for the Group, including an extensive refurbishment programme and the introduction of further music-led entertainment.

“I believe that our recent performance reflects the Group’s quality brands, well invested estate, and dedication to customer service, coupled with the substantial appetite amongst consumers for great nights out. We are seeing sales growth across all our regions, and we look forward to building on this going forward.”
