KUDA AND BALLARE SHOW CUSTOMERS ‘WE CARE’

Cambridge nightclubs Kuda and Ballare launched a safety initiative, ‘We Care’, designed to coincide with the return of students to the city.

The initiative, believed to be the first of its kind in the region, has been launched to help clubbers keep safe on a night out in the city.

The venues, on Sidney Street and Heidelberg Gardens respectively, have introduced female Customer Care Ambassadors.  Dressed in red, the Ambassadors will be available on all nights to help with any query, question or issue customers may have.  Communication is also key and the clubs have installed free phone charging stations in the cloakrooms.

Kuda’s general manager Simon Wilson said: “Creating a great night out for our customers is our main priority.  We have always had a duty of care towards our customers but felt that we needed to wrap it up in more cohesive campaign, to raise awareness and demonstrate that ‘We Care’.”

Other ‘We Care’ pledges include a taxi escort service for vulnerable individuals, free handbag cloakroom service and access to a landline (free of charge) for those who lose their phone.

Ballare’s general manager Andrew Barney added: “We Care is designed to give customers all the tools they need for a fun but safe night out.”

Both teams have been trained to look out for vulnerable customers, offer support and question anyone leaving the venue alone.  And all of this is supported by posters and flyers within the nightclub, reminding customers to stay safe.

Ballare and Kuda are part of The Deltic Group, the UK’s largest clubs and bar operator, with 59 venues nationwide and 3,000 employees.
