A popular Wrexham venue is to undergo a £600,000 transformation that will bring a new clubbing experience to the town and create 35 new jobs.
Liquid & Envy will close on Saturday 23 September and re-open as ATIK with a VIP launch night on Friday 6 October, following the investment by operators The Deltic Group.
The new look club on Brook Street will offer three distinct rooms catering for all tastes. The main dance room, ATIK, will showcase the very best in light and sound technology and for retro fans, Vinyl, with an illuminated dance floor, will play pop classics. Curve, a luxurious new room with an intimate atmosphere will feature DJs playing the latest R&B chart hits.
The changes will also see table service made more widely available with the addition of 11 VIP booths to bring the total to 19.
General manager Mat Evans said: “We are the biggest and most popular venue in North Wales but after 15 years as Liquid it’s time for a change. We want to create an exciting new experience for today’s clubbers who we attract from a wide area. We are confident the new club will appeal to our existing and new customers and deliver memorable experiences.
“For Liquid’s last night we’re planning an end of era party with a rundown of floor fillers from the last 15 years to give it a proper send-off.”
The club has started recruiting for 35 full and part-time positions, including hosts, receptionists, bar staff, floor staff and promotional staff, to join its 23-strong team. To apply for one of the vacancies call the club on 01978310580.
ATIK will have a preview on Thursday 5 October for business and licensing partners before it opens to the public the following night with a line-up of entertainment which will be revealed nearer the launch date.
The Deltic Group is the largest dedicated late night operator with 57 venues throughout the UK, employing more than 3,000 people.
