The company behind Birmingham’s biggest club has announced its opening date and a 120 jobs boost for the city.
Following a £1.4 million investment by award winning Deltic Group – named Responsible Retailer of the Year and Best Late Night Operator at the coveted Publican Awards this Spring – PRYZM on Broad Street will open on 17 June.
At the heart of the 2,500 capacity venue will be the main arena, showcasing the latest light and sound technology and frequently hosting guest DJs and celebrities. This will be complemented by Curve – a more intimate room with DJs playing the latest R&B chart tracks. For those wanting to ‘freak out’ to retro tunes, a disco room called Vinyl will feature a flashing dance floor and the venue will also boast a pre-bookable private party room for special occasions. Groups and parties will be catered for with 45 booths all offering special packages and table service.
Fronting PRYZM are Peter Cro and Ric Harpin. Peter is no stranger to the city and is returning after eight years having managed clubs throughout the UK, including Cardiff and London. He said: “Birmingham is a fantastic city with a vibrant scene and our club will bring a new dimension, giving people in Birmingham and beyond a world class club experience.
“We have great plans for the launch weekend, which we’re keeping under wraps at present but it promises to be a crowd pleaser.”
The club is now recruiting for 120 full and part-time positions, from bar staff to hospitality and sales assistants. “We are looking for people who enjoy life, have a great positive attitude and want to be part of our exciting new venture. We have a full training programme for the right candidates,” added Ric.
