Deputy Manager – The Terrace, Exeter

The Terrace is without a doubt Exeter’s number 1 site, catering for great food, cocktails, roof terrace environment along with late-night experience. We are looking for a Deputy Manager that has the ability to deliver all aspects of this unique business.

The site trades 7 days and nights a week with a major focus on excellent restaurant food, great cocktails, premium service and great music at the weekend.

The Deputy Manager for The Terrace will have experience of delivering the highest levels of customer service, managing large and diverse teams with a strong background of corporate and Christmas events.

What can we do for you?

Your primary task is to support the General Manager in all aspects of the day to day management of the business. You will be working alongside and supporting a dynamic management team who are responsible for the day-to-day management of the venue.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering excellent restaurant service;
  • Delivering the agreed Marketing Strategy for the business;
  • Deliver the agreed Service Standards for the business;
  • Delivering excellent customer service;
  • Financial Management;
  • Ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements are met and adhered to;
  • Staff training, Learning and Development;
  • Maintain all company procedures relating to stock and cash controls;
  • Maintain and manage standards at the unit; and
  • Ensuring Company Policies are adhered to at all times.

All applicants must be well presented, professional, a good communicator with excellent overall operational standards. You must also be eligible to work in the UK.

This is a full time and permanent role that will see you working shift patterns that include evenings and weekends, so you must be flexible in terms of the hours required of you.
