Birmingham’s newest and biggest club is proving a big hit as PRYZM welcomed its 20,000 visitor this weekend, just two weeks after launch.
The Broad Street venue has enjoyed capacity crowds since it opened on Friday 17 June following a £1.4million investment by award winning operator the Deltic Group.
And University of Birmingham student Gabriella Cobham, 20, from London was given a big surprise when she and four friends were treated to a surprise VIP experience courtesy of PRYZM.
General manager Peter Cro said: “We have been blown away by the response to PRYZM. It’s always a nervous moment when you open your doors for the first time and wonder what the reaction is going to be like, but we knew we had created something special and thankfully the people of Birmingham think so too.
“We wanted to mark our 20,000 milestone by giving a surprise and making sure that customer had an extra special night to remember.”
Gabriella was treated to the club’s best VIP booth and drinks package with table service throughout the evening.
She said: “My friends and I were looking forward to a night out in PRYZM as we’d heard so many great things about it. But we couldn’t believe it when we were told what we had won. It really was an amazing night; the atmosphere, music, décor and service were like no other club we’ve been to before. We can’t wait to return.”
PRYZM Birmingham boasts a main arena, showcasing the latest light and sound technology; Curve, a more intimate room with DJs playing the latest R&B chart tracks, House, which plays pure house music and Vinyl, a retro disco room with flashing dance floor. The venue also has 52 booths and a party room that can be hired for private parties.
There are seven PRYZM clubs in the UK, the first was Bristol, followed by Brighton, Cardiff, Kingston upon Thames, Leeds and Birmingham. PRYZM Nottingham opened last weekend (1 July).
