Fiction on South Street will be closing its doors for the last time on Friday 21 July but an all-star line-up has been announced for ATIK’s opening weekend on Friday 27 July.
Love Island’s Adam Collard, who made a shock exit from the villa last week after a whirlwind month, will be partying with fans in ATIK and taking the headline spot in opulent new room, Curve is DJ and producer Mike Delinquent. He will be joined by 90s pop group, S Club 3, who are performing in the retro room, Vinyl, on a new illuminated dance-floor, under dozens of glitter balls.
On Saturday 28 July, music producer and DJ, Marvin Humes, will be taking to the decks in the main room, with 80s throwback TV presenter and DJ, Pat Sharp playing pop classics in Vinyl the following week on Saturday 4 August.
To celebrate its last dance, Fiction, which opened in 2013 and has welcomed over a million customers through its doors, will host a party to remember on Friday 21 July playing classic tracks from the past 10 years.
ATIK Romford’s new general manager Graham Tuach said: “People have lots of happy memories of Fiction and we’re looking forward to a farewell party. But we also can’t wait to reveal ATIK to our customers and get the party started over the opening weekend. We are confident they’re going to love it!
The investment is being carried out by award winning club and late night bar operator, The Deltic Group, and is creating 25 additional jobs.
The new night spot will have three distinct rooms: ATIK will showcase the very best in light and sound technology; Vinyl is aimed at those who enjoy classic pop and Curve, a luxurious new room with an intimate atmosphere, will play the latest RnB chart hits.
Groups and parties will be catered for with over 20 pre-bookable, VIP booths with table service from a team of hosts. In disco themed Vinyl, each VIP area will have its own private flashing dance floor.
Graham, who has recently joined Deltic to take the helm at ATIK, has worked in the industry for over 14 years, having started his club life as a glass collector. He added: “Essex has a great reputation for nightlife and Romford leads the way. It deserves the very best we can offer in terms of a clubbing experience and I’m excited to lead a team to deliver a fantastic venue for existing and new customers.”
